Jobs in Portland: Messiah Lutheran Church seeks a self-motivated and energetic person to provide a highly professional quality audio presentation for worship at the congregation's North County Campus in Ridgefield. This is a part-time stipend position. Position Responsibilities • Be responsible for the smooth operation of audio mixer and sound equipment at the worship site. • Be on site for Thursday evening Worship Team rehearsal, 7:00 -- 8:30 p.m. and during pre-service rehearsal and worship service, Sunday morning, 8:30 -- 11:00 a.m. • Supervise, coordinate and oversee the training of volunteer support in the audio ministry. Develop listening and mixing skills of participants to improve the overall quality of the audio ministry. • Notify the Worship Leader of any maintenance needs, repair or replacement of damaged equipment. Position Qualifications: • Have a good "ear" for mixing live music, an understanding of adjustments necessary at the mixer board to accomplish clear audio -- spoken, vocal and instrumental. • Personal sense of mission to audio ministry within the church. • Positive energizing and motivating personality. • Familiarity with (or demonstrated ability to learn) digital audio mixing technologies. • Punctual and prepared for all appointments. Detail oriented with high moral work ethic. • Demonstrable organizational ability, people and communication skills, to work alongside volunteers in a mentoring capacity. • Demonstrate personal and professional integrity.
