We are a custom fabrication shop, manufacturer of machinery, OEM manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic specialty equipment for the mining and agriculture industry. GK Machine Inc. is searching for a talented, motivated and committed individual to join our team. POSITION OVERVIEW As a member of the production team you will be required to work in a fast paced team environment. This position will challenge you to meet customer specifications and production schedules while striving to improve working relationships. You'll support business process improvement efforts including products that enhance the quality and efficiency of the shop. SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR • Verifiable experience as a laser or brake operator • Demonstrated ability to read prints • Recognize characteristics of metals and alloys • Ability to multi-task while managing multiple orders/customers in a fast paced environment • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, meet deadlines and follow through • Positive attitude with ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change • Working knowledge of lean practices JOB DUTIES -- PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATIONS • Run our state of the art Trumpf lasers • Use hand tools such as grinders • Select appropriate head nozzle • Hold tolerances • Inspect parts • Read shop prints • Maintain a clean work environment • Lift and maneuver heavy objects on a regular basis • Must have own tools BENEFITS Medical, 401K, Vacation, Education reimbursement, Paid Holidays and overtime You will work in a clean heated shop with a crane at your fingertips A drug test and physical will be required at time of job offer We're interested in learning more about you and appreciate you taking the time to apply.
