POSITION DESCRIPTION: PHP/MySQL Programmer Developer You will be directly working with the president towards further developing our e-commerce platform and related component technologies. There is much creative development involved with programming modules and interfaces that are innovative and progressive in the e-commerce arena. Furthermore, you will interface with clients towards improving our software platform by providing technical support and subsequent, planning and engineering of further developments. Furthermore, you will interface with designers regarding Website design, and our software platform's back-end admin design and interface structure and functionality. CRITICAL TECHNICAL SKILLS 4+ years of experience as a front-end and back-end software development. Strong knowledge of PHP 4 & 5, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Comfort with API integration, updates, and trouble shooting (ie from QuickBooks, Paypal, UPS, USPS, FedEx, Google, other.) Creative & Industrious problem solving is a must. Experience using version control systems (Git, Subversion, etc.) individually or in a team setting. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience. Ability to provide reasonably accurate estimates of completion times due to experience. Strong ability to pay attention to detail. Ability to troubleshoot compatibility across multiple platforms and browsers including IE7+. OTHER DUTIES Website Installations & Setups. Client support regarding development and technical support TECHNICAL SKILLS THAT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE Familiarity with shopping carts and e-commerce websites in general. Familiarity with mobile commerce. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel Macros is a plus. COMPENSATION: TBD Based On Experience Hours: Part-Time: 20 to 35 Hours a week - flexible Possible Full-Time Location: Portoland, Oregon Compensation: TBS Based On Experience + Stock Options after 9 months Telecommuting is ok.
