Jobs in Portland: CNC Machinist (all levels needed= Entry level to Journeyman) Employment Trends has many CNC Machinist Positions available. These positions require entry level to journeyman level experience and we are placing people immediately. Hours needed will be 40 hours weekly. Pay will be between $15 - $25 an hour, depending on position and experience. Job Duties: • Experience with high precision, tight tolerance CNC machining • Experienced in set-up of CNC Mills, Lathes, EDM, Grinding, and Manual Equipment • Able to lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints • Keeping a neat, organized work area • Verifying part quality to company specifications • Correctly interpreting customer specifications • Communicating with engineering and leadership about process problems and solutions • Consistently meeting or exceeding cycle time standards • Verifying quality of work and the work of others with common inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, gauge pins, and height gauges • Directing work flow through the shop • Changing out tools and resetting offsets • Training other team members on customer specifications and GD&T • Ability to setup and troubleshoot first run parts on any machine shop equipment • Prove out first run programs and working with Engineering Department to develop controlled processes. • Set up and operation of axis machine Education/Experience: HS/GED Entry Level Skills: • Positive outlook • Able to lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis • Strong shop math skills • Please send your resume to- jennifer.aartsen@employmenttrends.com Compensation: $15 - $25 hr, DOE Principals only.
