Local Jobs in Portland: The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is seeking multiple on-call Exhibit Assistants. These positions provide maintenance, repair and technical support for OMSI's exhibits including traveling exhibits. Candidates must have working knowledge of maintenance and repair, ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects, a minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse or production facility, a valid driver's license, and pass pre-employment checks such as a criminal background check, reference checks, and requirements in the MVR Policy including passing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and Alcohol & Drug Test for non-CDL Drivers Policy, including a pre-duty drug test. Experience in proper handling of art and artifacts to include packing/unpacking, documentation, and installation is preferred and candidates may be required to pass the pre-duty internal safety training if required to operate forklifts, scissors lifts, and other exhibit moving and warehouse equipment requiring safety training.
