Jobs in Portland: Ophthalmology practice in Canby seeking Optometric Technician. Full to part time position. Beginning hours 10-30 per week then moving to full time. This is a full service Ophthalmic, Optometric, and Optical clinic. Experience working in all of these environments highly desired. Must have excellent telephone and communication/people skills. Individual should be professional. Willingness to be cross trained in all aspects of clinic operations including: answering phones and checking patients in and out a must. Spanish language desired, but not required. Experience in Optometrics required. Primary Duties Include: :: Prepping patient chart for vist, familiarity with EHR a plus. :: Prepping patient for exam. :: Dispensing and verifying glasses and contacts. Must be able to use a manual lensometer. :: Assit doctor with fitting contact lenses and complete contact lens training with patients. NCLE a plus. :: Performing A-scan. :: Must be able to operate a Humphreys Visual Field and OCT (Zeiss). :: Able to use a phoropter to refract patients. :: Must have current First Aid/CPR or obain one within 90 days of hiring. :: HIPAA compliance training We are looking for a self starting, detail oriented person with great organizational skills.
