Local Jobs in Portland: This position has changed since it was first posted. We're now hiring a half-time accountant / controller to supervise and train a junior accountant / bookkeeper. We're looking for a flexible person with five or more years of accounting experience. Auditing experience is preferred (because auditors seem to be more adaptable to different software and setups). Strong spreadsheet skills are required. Database experience, especially MS Access, is a big plus. We use with a homegrown accounting package / database which works pretty well, although it doesn't provide an audit trail. We're looking specifically for someone who is comfortable in this kind of unique environment.
