We are seeking to hire a full-time Web Editor / Copywriter in our SW Portland, Oregon (near Bridgeport Village) office that will be responsible for writing, developing, and editing the copy needed for our business. This is a very hands-on position with a unique company undergoing significant growth and change. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced company is a must. Responsibilities: Develop and write consistently compelling copy across a variety of media, including: website copy, email marketing, blogs, product copy and specifications, whitepapers, case studies, industry articles, and newsletters. Work with creative team to brainstorm concepts and strategies in all areas of web content Develop consistently branded language optimized for search engines. Maintain online marketing campaigns and research various marketing metrics Learn and research new technologies and their applications as we expand to new product areas and markets Qualifications: Required College degree with focus in Advertising, Communications or English preferred, along with experience working in retail advertising, an advertising agency, or marketing environment Must have the ability to work within a goal-oriented team with a singular purpose, complete multiple projects in a timely manner, and write clearly and concisely in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of language and the written word is essential, along with a willingness to step outside of daily duties and offer help when needed Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential Basic HTML editing skills are necessary Preferred Experience writing for e-commerce, catalog, or other sales-focused copy Experience writing about technical products Comfort with internet tools for research & content publishing Understanding of how to write for SEO Job Environment: The environment is casual, yet professional.
